Targets and Expected Outcomes of the Project, Beneficiaries and Measurements

           1- Transforming Ordu into a city of arts and culture by making it a kind of magnet for artists and audiences from all over the world and making Turkey as a meeting point for music world and the world of artists and art activities by creating a central-pilot region in Ordu.

         2- Creating common feelings and values by opening direct, sincere and natural communication channels between Turkish and other countries’ people; transforming these channels into the network of a sustainable relationships; making life easier for people who are different from each other by using the power of empathy; providing a foreign opening to the country people in accordance with the EU harmonization process and providing the social, cultural and  economic contributions of outside world for the region; accelerating a personal social development  accordingly by starting adaptation process to the modern world and Europe with cultural, artistic synthesizes; activating values of global society. 

 

Our Partnership Targets

 Basic principles of our partnership conscious are; solving chronic group and power conflicts peaceably by working together; by establishing a civil society association, there will be no religion, language, race or personal differences among people; there will be no authoritarian-weak person discrimination, everybody has the freedom of expression and creation; learning and teaching how to solve the problems with common and universal alternatives; directing efforts for the social benefits by proving that common benefits are better than personal benefits.

Combining, organizing and starting dynamics which are different and independent from each other in Ordu for common benefits and developments thanks to that reach extensive participation and partnership level. 

 

Volunteer working groups, sub-groups and external organizations

            In this structure, volunteer organizations, including 200 people and association, consisting of board of directors, central executive board, delegations, 15 sub-boards, technical committees, committees from all other cities and countries are organized to perform the festival.  This project’s many-sided structure makes necessary sub-organizations related to different areas.  These sub-groups are organized under the following main topics according to the volunteering principle: carders from inside and outside of the city, street advertising, communication, web design, press, media, cameramen, television program, presentation, management, supervision, outside persons in charge, room persons in charge, outdoor tour and activity persons in charge, technical persons in charge, artists’ assistants, tourism guides, translators, medical staffs, securities, accommodation group, transporters, food staffs, house committee persons in charge, representatives, spokesmen and etc.  Groups will perform about their areas by organizing their sub-committees. In these groups, about 200 people will work, 50 meetings, seminars, trainings, preparation and implementation works will be held in average.        

     The Art Festival’s web site (www.gifest.com) will be translated into 8 languages and reach millions of people via internet; presentation and reservation activities will be held with especially European artists and audiences (tour operators, universities, youth and art communities, official and private art associations) and other countries (internet, e-mail, fax messages), all documents and brochures inviting people and advertising the festival will be sent to artists, relevant organizations, associations and CSF besides our country.  It will be given a priority to people, who will participate in nature activities and eco-tourism programs and have natural environment sensitivity.

During the year, necessary measurements about statistics, surveys (500 people), interviews (200 people), official and private public opinion researches, which are relevant to different areas will be done and recorded with all works; done before and after the festival; the documentary book called “Ordu; where world artists meet”, including the festival’s philosophy, structure, functionality, results and related documents will be published after the festival.

 

Accommodation

Some factors, such as; lack of airport in our city, roads under construction, poor interest of the society to this subject, insufficient expert staffs, some difficulties in the organizations, pessimistic ideas coming from personal concerns, economic and technological problems, made people think that this project is too hard to be completed.  But, success of previous projects surprised the society and they provide them to give them more support to an every new project.  Considering, there is no such an organization even in big cities, including all art divisions with 500 national and international artists and nature activities, for such a small Black Sea Region town, it is very impressive.  About 5.000 domestic and foreign tourist audiences will be invited to our city, where it’s not quite possible to accommodate all of them but they will be provided both hotels (250 people in total), despite of their low qualities and capacities, caravans, tent camping areas, guest houses, houses, houses, dormitories and house committees and all these activities will be organized for the first time.  We will pay accommodation and food costs of artists who want to participate in.  Since the capacities of the hotels are not enough for participants coming from outside of the city and nature activists, free camping areas will be arranged for people who have tents in some areas close to the city center and beaches, State Credit and Hostiles Institution dormitories, public guest houses will be reserved with very low rates, such as 3-5 $ per day for other participants.

In spite of everything, we will be successful; the most important thing is the method. When you change direction of a river’s stream, living creatures can survive on this rote and take an advantage of this river independently and similarly the supply that is offered to the society makes our people survive and take an advantage of it independently.  When a river gives benefits to the living creatures, it gets stronger and reaches the seas by getting over all obstacles at the same time, by accumulating small streams in its structure; similarly, we can reach our target by getting over obstacles.  Reaching the sea, river rains to distant areas by means of clouds, similarly, when we are making new works, we give benefits distant areas and societies too.  These examples are made to explain that how we use nature in structuring and performing of our organization.
